Tactical Ballistic Shield – Basic Shooting & Moving

Duration: 5 days
Venue: Classroom, range and raid house
Prerequisite: Basic handgun experience
Required equipment:Ballistic shield with viewport and light, tactical vests, helmet, semi-automatic pistols, strong side holster, minimum 4 magazines, sub-machine gun or carbine, minimum 2 magazines, sling, 1000 rounds of handgun ammo, 250 rounds sub-machine gun or carbine.

This program is taught by a former senior special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration who created the lesson plan used to teach literally thousands of special agents, police officers, SWAT teams and specialized military units. Topics will include:

  • Basic shield theory and tactical application
  • Shield fundamentals
  • Mounting, carrying and moving with the shield
  • Basic shooting with the shield
  • Reloading while carrying the shield
