Tactical Shooting – Intermediate

Duration: 3 days
Venue: Classroom and range
Prerequisite: Introduction to the Pistol (or equivalent), prior LE or military
Required equipment: Semi-automatic pistol, strong side hip holster, 4 magazines, magazine pouch (worn on support side), 1000 rounds of ammunition.

This course is a three day program which covers the fundamentals of defensive tactical shooting. Topics include:

  • Firearms safety
  • Fundamentals of tactical shooting
  • Grip, stance and draw
  • The “press”
  • Reloading
  • Ready gun positions
  • Rapid fire
  • Stage 1 and stage 2 malfunction
  • Multiple shots
  • Barricade shooting (shooting from cover)
  • Kneeling
  • Prone
  • One-hand shooting
