Shooting for Executive Protection Specialists

Duration: 5 days
Venue: Classroom and range
Prerequisite: Tactical Shooting (Basic), LE or military
Required equipment: Semi-automatic pistol, strong side hip holster, 4 magazines, magazine pouch (worn on support side), 1600 rounds of ammunition. Shooters must also have a sport jacket or vest that will cover their holster and magazines as much of this program will stress shooting from concealed carry.

This course is focused on the unique job specific skills required by Executive Protection Specialists. This dynamic program combines our tactical shooting program with the basic techniques needed by those seeking a career in executive protection. Topics will include:

  • Grip, stance and draw
  • The “press”
  • Reloading
  • Ready gun positions
  • Rapid fire
  • Stage 1 and stage 2 malfunction

  • Barricade shooting (shooting from cover)

  • One-hand shooting
  • Advanced one handed shooting on the move
  • Moving through a crowd to engage target
  • Advanced recoil management
