GSG Ballistic Shield Training

GLOBAL SECURITY GROUP, INC.

TACTICAL BALLISTIC SHIELD TRAINING FOR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS & FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

The ballistic shield has been used for decades to mitigate the risks faced by law enforcement officers engaging armed or potentially armed adversaries. Typically used during high-risk arrests, they are also ideally suited for deployment during active shooter situations, particularly in the school setting. Such incidents require immediate response; there can be no delay if lives are to be saved. The first officers on scene must make contact with the shooter and neutralize the threat. The most effective way to achieve this outcome is by equipping officers with rifle-rated shields and teaching them how to use them.

Global Security Group, Inc. (GSG), is the most experienced provider of ballistic shield training in the nation. Our lead instructor, a former special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration and primary Firearms instructor at the DEA / FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia. During his assignment at Quantico, he was the Master Ballistic Shield Instructor for the DEA and one of the leading federal law enforcement experts in the evaluation, testing, training, and deployment of ballistic shields. Many features common to ballistic shields today are the result of design changes he implemented while in charge of the largest shield program in federal law enforcement. Our associate instructors, all veterans of the DEA Academy at Quantico, have used ballistic shields during hundreds of tactical deployments. They also have thousands of hours of experience training federal agents, state and local law enforcement officers, and law enforcement and military special operations teams how to effectively use ballistic shields during high-risk tactical operations. The techniques are practical, proven and allow students to achieve proficiency in a relatively short amount of time. No other team can match the level of experience GSG instructors can provide, and we are available to travel to provide training to individual departments and agencies.
