This course is the pre-requisite for applicants wishing to obtain a concealed carry handgun permit in New York State.

Classroom portion of course will be conducted over four (4) consecutive evenings, Monday to Thursday, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM each day and then a live fire proficiency portion conducted at a local firearm’s range. Please confirm days of the week of course you for which are registering.

Our classroom training facility is conveniently located above Penn Station at the corner of W. 33rd St and 7th Avenue. Range proficiency is currently conducted at sites in the Flatiron Section of Manhattan, Northern and Southern Westchester County.

Firing range portion of course will not be conducted during classroom training days and will require students to schedule and attend range on a date after classroom training. Students will be able to schedule range date during classroom training portion of course.

NOTE: PLEASE CONTACT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN YOUR COUNTY OF RESIDENCE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT APPLYING FOR THE CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT. THE PROCESS WILL VARY BY COUNTY. GSG WILL PROVIDE THE MANDATORY TRAINING, AS REQUIRED BY LAW, BUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS WILL BE GOVERNED BY THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE APPLICANT RESIDES .
