The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines surveillance as “the covert and accurate observation of persons, places or things for the purpose of obtaining physical and visual evidence concerning identities or activities of subjects for evidentiary or intelligence gathering purposes.” Surveillance is an integral part of investigative work whether conducted by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies or private investigative firms.
This class will cover the basic elements of the art and science of surveillance as taught to agents of our most elite federal law enforcement agencies.
